Crystal has over 10 years' experience teaching arts integration workshops with The Warehouse Theatre, Metropolitan Arts Council, Arts Share, Riverside Theatre, and as an individual freelancer. In her workshops she uses acting techniques and activities in order to help students understand difficult concepts (topics she has covered include Shakespeare, multiplication tables, and tectonic plates.) She also does private coaching to help actors with Shakespeare monologues, general audition technique, and repertory choices. She received the Outstanding Teaching Assistant Award from the Council on Teaching at the University of Iowa in 2021, and developed the new virtual Will Power curriculum with Riverside Theatre in 2020-2021 and 2021-2022.
